There is no avoiding the news or social media about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the panic so many of us are going through these past few weeks. The world is on literal lockdown and fear is rampant.
While we need to take this seriously, there are ways that we can get through this and take our friends and family on our positive journey.
Take Charge Of Your Physical & Mental Health
Perhaps there isn’t much we can do about what is happening on the outside, we can definitely control what is happening inside. Both in our homes and our minds.
Taking charge of your physical and mental health right now can boost your immune system and help you cope positively. Because this too shall pass and we’re coming out of it stronger, more resilient and, yes, actually happy.
Positive emotions can help us undo the negative effects of stress. Your brain can process pleasure, even with the smallest of things
- A hot cup of tea
- Playing with your children or pets
- Going outside in your yard and breathing fresh air
- Meditation is optimum
- Online cooking classes
- Reading a great book
- Zoom or Facetime with friends and family
- Have a fun conversation and inspire them
Now you are giving your brain a much-needed boost and your serotonin levels will increase, the “feel awesome” transmitters in your brain will elevate your mood and keep you calm. It’s a scientific fact.
Get Your "Bond On"
LIMIT your intake on the news and social media. If you have a reliable news source, watch in the morning and afternoon for a few minutes. This will reduce the amount of angst, frustration, and fear.
If you’re on lockdown with family or roommates, have a BLAST. Boost that oxytocin (happy hormone) which will switch off that awful cortisol (unhappy mega stress hormone). So, the question is how?
Get your “bond on.” If you have kids, try the following:
- Talk to them
- Read with each other
- Watch awesome movies with popcorn
- Tap into your inner child and play Twister or any games you have
- Dance around
Workout & Write
Families, couples, friends get your workout on. Between YouTube and a zillion other online workout programs, it is easy and can be a lot of fun. Try yoga, it is the best workout for body, spirit, and mind. All of this promotes closeness and bonding, which feels so, so good.
Write a gratitude journal every day, either alone or share it on social media and encourage your followers and friends to do the same.
We Are United In Hope
We are rising above the media fray and negativity, because we are grounded in our strong belief that human beings, innately are really good people.
The world is as much united in hope right now, as they are in fear. Be the hope and raise your vibration so high, your friends on social media will feel it and your family will reap the benefits by simply being around you.
- Look at what is happening in Italy, the singing and dancing in the balconies.
- Right here in Las Vegas, the younger generation is coming out of the woodworks and volunteering to go grocery shopping for the elderly.
- Neighbors are coming together to help each other, even with toilet paper. Our greatest commodity right now. LOL.
- Scientists all over the world are working overtime for a cure.
There is more love than fear.
Turn It OFF To Raise Those Vibes
Give up the urge to share constant negative information on your social media page. It will depress you and your friends/followers.
Raise your vibration and theirs as well by finding positive news to share, or create fun feeds with silly videos and inspirational quotes. It will work magically in transforming your negativity into positivity and everyone who follows you.
Spread Your Positive Infectious Energy
When you tune in to all of the above you will become resilient and experience positive emotions. Your stress level will go down, you will increase your immunity, boost your creativity and brain function, and spread your infectious positive energy to others.
In other words, your Karma and Luck levels will increase and you will draw in more of what you need and want vs what you don’t.
There is a lot of power in staying positive and it is needed more than ever, and that’s on us. Let’s do this together.
