¡Puede sorprender a algunos saber que originalmente, el símbolo del ancla se usó en tierra! Durante los primeros años, cuando los cristianos estaban bajo la persecución romana, el ancla era cómo mostraban su religión para que otros cristianos la vieran bajo la estricta mirada de los romanos.
¿Por qué eligieron el ancla? Debido a que mantiene un barco en su lugar durante las tormentas, simboliza la fuerza. También se parece a la cruz. Con esos dos factores en mente, un ancla fue cómo se marcaba una casa como segura para los cristianos que buscaban un lugar de refugio.

Es un símbolo de la esperanza de cómo cuando se levanta del agua de un puerto, representa una nueva aventura, un nuevo viaje. Para muchos, esta metáfora es un símbolo de nuestros sentimientos cuando dejan una parte estancada de su vida y emprenden un nuevo viaje.
Se levanta un ancla cuando entramos en una nueva era como cuando un barco zarpa. Estamos vivos y ansiosos por la emoción y la esperanza de lo que está por venir. Nos anima a seguir el rumbo trazado y continuar con nuestros planes, a mantenernos firmes en nuestra visión de los nuevos sueños que tenemos por delante.

Indica que no nos tambalearemos durante el caos o la histeria que pueda rodearnos, sin importar cuán inciertas puedan parecer las cosas. Es una forma simbólica de decir que estamos firmemente anclados en nuestras creencias, al igual que lo hicieron los cristianos durante la persecución romana.
El significado más profundo
Incluso una persona que no tiene patas de mar, el significado profundo de este símbolo tiene fuertes conexiones. Representa una persona segura y estable. Una persona que está firmemente arraigada en sus creencias y en sintonía con quienes realmente es, se mantiene firme en sus valores.
Para una persona que ha pasado por momentos difíciles y difíciles, un pasado tumultuoso, el ancla es una representación de su lugar seguro. Indica su deseo de avanzar hacia mejores mares con un futuro más brillante. El ancla rota o agrietada es un símbolo de dejar ir el pasado que pudo haber sido inhibidor.

Good morning, thank you so much for this article! All of my life, I’ve remained in sorrows and anguish, rejections after rejections. I spent all my childhood as a slave, abused; sexually, physically, emotionally, abandoned by my parents, near death starvation, living in one home after the other, lack of education and stability. I have four children two of them of which are disabled from my estranged husband who never loved me and left me emotionally distressed. I’ve spent all my life longing to be loved, but to no avail. In the quest of my love-seeking and that of emotional fulfilment, I fell prey to couple of men who abused me sexually and dumbed me like throwing rubbish in the bin. Despite all of this, I still have some hope that someday The Heavenly Father will help me.I saw an anchor as I pray this morning. I’m near 50 years
This was beautifully put. I have recently seen 2 anchors in the last few days and was wondering what it could mean. I just started a new career path and feel like this may be the beginning of something beautiful and within my purpose. I pray this also pertains to my love life and to stay grounded and steadfast on what I want. Thank you for this!

While walking in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Rochester, NY, my attention was captured by a beautiful statue of a woman atop a monument peering towards the sky, with her left hand on her heart and her right hand resting on an anchor that was situated next to her. I searched the spiritual meaning of an anchor which directed me to your site. Thank you for posting this information, it was very poignant as I ponderer it’s significance. BTW, Mt. Hope Cemetery is on the National Register of Historic Places and is the final resting place for Frederick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony. It’s a wonderful place to visit in Upstate New York.
Hi i feel extermly blessed this moring i was praise and worshipping like usual at 4am and as i pressed further into God’s presences the symbols started as they often do but today all the symbols were ver diffrent and an anchor appeared and also another symbol with an eye i the middle of it amoungst several morebut these two really stood out to me and it makes so much sence my fiancee is buying a beautiful home and i believe its to keep me safe i hade a horrific life and i walk in all five sences, i prophecy, im an intercessor, i do the courts of heaven and i praise and worship daily im what they call a prayer warrior an ambassador in chains for Christ Jesus and i love it. And i have to tell you that upon seeing this about the anchor i cried thank you so much it makes alot of sence and it just drew me still farther into God’s word again thank you, i love you and God Bless You…

The more I read through this , the more I fell in love with the “anchor”. Now at 18 weeks ,1 day pregnant with a boy child I am more than sure that this is the name I want my little prince to carry for the rest of his life . For he means all that you have written here and a whole lot more and now because I am blessed with him I can say that I didn’t go through all I have gone through for nothing.
